SANDTON VICTIM EMPOWERMENT
The Victim Empowerment Programme (VEP) is a mandatory unit at all police stations in Gauteng. The objective of the VEP is to offer service and support to victims of crime.
The Sandton Victim Empowerment Programme operates out of the Sandton Police Station in Morningside, Sandton, is a dedicated team of over 40 volunteers who give their time; compassion and energy by offering free counselling to people who have been at the receiving end of crime.
The Sandton SAPS, the Sandton Victim Empowerment Programme and the Sandton CPF work closely together to assist and support victims of crime.
The Sandton Victim Empowerment Programme includes trauma counselling given to victims of rape and domestic violence and also assists those who have suffered trauma as a result of witnessing a crime incident.
